What is SDA?

The Software Development Apprenticeship is an employer sponsored 2-year apprenticeship program for the software field. It transforms graduating high school students into CS professionals through an "Earn and Learn" model.

Students attend college for free, sponsored by our local employer partners, while simultaneously earning money working for the sponsoring employer to apply those skills.

We accelerate the learning:

  • Core Computer Science courses (15-17) are front loaded, to replicate the CS curriculum from a 4-year computer science degree plan.

  • Key Gen-Ed classes are incorporated into the technical program.

  • Intensive apprenticeship driven program, where employers, students and colleges take the journey together.

Apprenticeship Program

The program will be for 2 years:

  • 4 Semesters and 3 Summers of class room training at College

  • 4 Semesters and 2 summers of simultaneous 20hour/week of paid work experience with a local employer partner.
